For Black History Month, we hosted a Black Portraitures Workshop at the Paul Robeson House Museum in Philly. We created a Photography 101 Guide, led a conversation and lesson on the work of Black image-makers from the diaspora and Africa from the 1920’s and forward which propelled us to make manifestos of our documentation and preservation practice as image-makers. This also culminated in experimenting with taking portraits of one another using the 120 mm cameras with other cameras on display.
